Over to You:
I'm still on the fence on whether to add Sweet Girl of Oz Himeno to my collection.
I have the original, which a love but I'm not sure if I want to put in the effort it takes to use a proxy service (by effort I mean $$).
At least Himeno has a long pre-order date so I can either talk myself into buying her or talk myself out of buying her 🙂
On a slightly different note, we've had several exclusive dolls announced in March.
I'm a bit burned out from hearing, saying, and typing the word Exclusive.
Is it possible we won't have any more exclusives until April? (only in my dreams, right)
Will you add Himeno to your collection or do you have some hesitation on ordering her?
If you've plan to order her what is the deciding factor?

i just preordered her <3 i didn´t think i could get her but someone pointed me at nippon yasan and they have her, whih it´s simpler that through the proxy service, in case anybody is interested 🙂
Hi Marco Flavio,
Congrats on ordering Sweet Girl of Oz Himeno 🙂
Thank you for sharing that Nippon Yasan is accepting orders for her.
We’ve added them to the Where to Order list.
I know there are several fans who appreciate the information especially since they can now skip going through a proxy service.
And send a thank you to the person who pointed her out to you.
That was very nice of them to do so.

She is certainly a cute release. Too bad she’s exclusive. Everything seems to be these days. It’s actually getting pretty ridiculous. I refuse to buy any doll that makes me jump through hoops to get it. On the upside, it means I spend a lot less.
I would have been tempted to break my rule of no more Pureneemo dolls with her but her being exclusive just means that I don’t.
To be honest, all the exclusivity from Azone (and a few other companies) lately is actually starting to turn me off buying things from those companies. It just makes me feel like they couldn’t care less about their international buyers. So I guess I will just have to start spending my money elsewhere.
Shame as the dolls are cute.
Hi Alasse Carnesir,
You are not alone in your feelings about being turned you off from buying dolls from these companies who frequently offer exclusive dolls.
I think the doll companies are walking a very fine line and if they aren’t careful could result in a decline in sales and fans.
I understand they have a local market but I’m curious on what percentage of their revenue is generated from the international fan base.
Then we’ll have to look into whether their so call “local markets” are only buying the products to resell to the international fans on sites like eBay.
I can’t imagine any of the companies purposely ignoring their international fans.
It’s insane to do so. Let’s hope these latest exclusives are simply a temporary detour and they’ll get back to including their entire fans/collectors.
I was saying on the Dolly Round-up February 2017 Edition that there maybe a glimmer of light in this dark period of exclusive dolls
Apparently one of Azone’s long time shop dealers in the U.S., Denise’s Dolls/Japan Doll Connection, will begin offering their dolls again.
Denise posted on her, Peach of a Doll Momoko & Ruruko Facebook page, plans to sale a Denise’s Dolls Exclusive Azone doll. It will be the 1st Azone U.S. Exclusive doll.
Let’s hope she’ll bring some fabulous dolls for all fans outside of Japan to buy & enjoy.
Thanks adding your voice to the Sweet Girl of Oz Himeno discussion.
Hi!
I already have the original Himeno but this one is very very very cute too… Damn you Azone! I like pastel colors and I like this kind of clothes! No way I can’t resist! Well it feels like From Japan will be my new best friend… if Azone keeps on going like this.
Hi Anne-Sophie,
You’re comment had me chuckling 🙂
It’s all so true.
Well said.

All of the things I didn’t care for about the original were changed in this version, from the color scheme to the hairstyle. I’m awfully tempted. I’ve never used a proxy service before, but I may be giving in to get this Himeno. Then I can forget about her until next year and get surprised when I receive a notification about her, haha.
I suppose I could give it some time since, as you said, the pre-order period is a long one.
Hi Robyn,
I know . . . I wish this version came out first (though it would have been impossible to get her as a regular release since she’s so amazingly cute and steals the heart of all those who lay their eyes on her).
She’s so colorful, light and playful.
Using a proxy service may feel uncomfortable at first but it’s not as bad as it seems.
We ordered Azone’s Snow Black Princess Aika through From Japan and like Himeno she had a long release date.
And I was nervous but once I placed my order I wondered why I was nervous in the first place.
The ordering process was surprisingly simple.
Like you said once you pay for the doll you tend to forget about her until it’s time to pay the invoice for shipping.
You will have to pay up front if you use From Japan and depending on where you live you may have to pay customs fee.
We didn’t have to pay a customs fee (we’re located in the US).
But one of our dolly friends in France had to pay customs.
I guess, customs fees will come down to where you live.
There are several proxy services to choose from like White Rabbit Express.
And since the pre-order is long you have plenty of time to review the different proxy services.
We appreciate you taking the time to add your voice to the conversation.

Oh my god she is so beautiful. I seriously screamed a little when I saw her. I love her outfit and oh gosh this look she gives me ! Ugh I wish I could have a doll collection.
She really is beautiful. If I were rich I’d buy without hesitation.
Hello Lucie,
I felt the exact same way when I first saw her last week (however my screams are accompanied by my arms flailing around and moments of OMG!)
She fits her name perfectly “Sweet Girl of Oz”
She’s so stinkin’ cute that it’s going hurt not having her in my collection.
Thanks for stopping by and sharing your opinion on Sweet Girl of Oz Himeno.
Tatyana
Oh wow. She is exquisite. If I could, I would adopt her in a heartbeat. Her colour scheme and details really capture the eye, and I love her little bag. Her her and eyes are very pretty.
Hi Madeleine,
I agree, they did a great job in creating this version of Himeno Oz.
I was chatting with another dolly collector on Facebook and we’re hoping that Azone will make the outfit available to purchase some day or at least create an outfit inspired by Sweet Girl of Oz Himeno.
Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts about Sweet Girl of Oz Himeno.
