I’ve tried making a small room for Harmia by building her a floor. And I made hangers for Illumie’s dolly closet.

But I’ve always dreamt of making a dolly diorama.

Maybe, with this book, I can make my dream a reality.

The rooms look detail and intricate . . . so I’m not sure how my room will turn out but I’m willing to give it a try.

Because the dolls in the sample images look happy in their tiny world. And I want my dolls to feel the same way too.

So, it’s another book I’m adding to my wishlist.

Let’s Chat

I love making dioramas, doll houses, and other spaces for my dolls to enjoy. It’s so much fun, so relaxing! I have arthritis in my hands, so I can’t make little things to go in them but it’s also fun to find tiny things to buy for them. My next project is going to be a grocery. Over the summer I redid a school and I’m really happy with the way it came out. I have an entire doll room with houses, a gym, a café, a biology laboratory, a medical centre, a yoga studio, a pub, and a upscale clubhouse with a bar. I also keep a couple of empty spaces that can be decorated quickly for temporary use – a farm, offices, nightclub, a park or a beach. So while the book looks lovely, I don’t really need it. I hope that it inspires others to make dioramas though.

Wendy Dirks your mini town/homes are amazing. I highly recommend collectors checkout your miniature town and dolly soap opera.

In the past I made for my dolls chairs, a table and a sofa with recycled materials, they had come well.
It has always been my dream to create a small miniature house for my dolls but unfortunately I have no space …
However, I think this book is really useful! <3

      Hi Sara,

That’s so awesome & resourceful to make miniature furniture from recycled material.

I look forward to checking out this book. It will probably be in 2020 though. I’m saving $$ for a doll or 2 😉

Thanks for chatting with us about the Background & Accessory Recipes for Dolls book
