Coming Soon From PetWORKs – Male Dolls Eight & Nine!

2018 marks PetWORKs 20th anniversary.

In August, PetWORKs hosted the PetWORKsの仕事と野望 -All about PetWORKs event to celebrate the joyous occasion.

It took place from August 18 – September 3, 2018.

Many beautiful Momoko & Ruruko dolls were on display.

Collectors also got a chance to see PetWORKs’ new 1/6 scale male doll line.

They’re named: Eight and Nine.

Eight is 28cm in height. He has a teenage boy expression with a slender, graceful body.

Nine is 29cm in height. He has a masculine expression with a muscular yet slender body.

PetWORKs is still developing the final looks for the boys. They’re aiming for an Autumn release but no official date has been set.

UPDATED 9/27/2018: PetWORKs’ Manabe states they’re now aiming for a Spring 2019 release

Question Time

  • How much will the guys cost?
  • Will the 1st release be limited in quantity?
  • Will pre-orders be limited to Japan or will all fans have access to them?

It’s an exciting time for both PetWORKs and doll collectors.

Trying to decide between the two is tough.

I would love to welcome home both boys.

Eight has such an innocent expression while Nine has this “whatever” attitude . . . They both have features that are equally charming and irresistible.

Over to You:

What are your thoughts about PetWORKs’ male dolls?

Do you think PetWORKs is heading in the right direction or do you feel they’re off course?

If given the chance, will you add the guys to you collection or will you enjoy them from afar?

Feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section below.

I look forward to chatting with you.

Woah, now this is interesting. I would have never pegged Petworks to develop boys but my Momoko girls do need some handsome guys to balance them out. I am definitely loving Nine. Right up my alley. I really hope these aren’t limited to Japan releases as I would really love the opportunity to get one.

      Hi Alasse Carnesir,

      I’m right there with you.

I too was surprise to see PetWORKs taking on the boy dolls.

No news has been posted on if they’ll be limited to Japan.

The only update is from Manabe who stated PetWORKs is now aiming for a Spring 2019 release.

So, we have more waiting to do.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on Eight & Nine

It’s always a pleasure chatting with Alasse Carnesir,

      Hi Melissa,

I know the suspense is driving me crazy.

I love Eight and Nine! I’d love to have both of them too, but I’ll have to see when they come out and how much they cost. If I have to choose just one of them, it will probably be Nine as he looks a bit older and will fit into my dolly soap opera better as a character. But Eight would find a role too…

      Hi Wendy,

Oh, Eight & Nine would be awesome characters for your dolly soap opera.

You could create endless stories involving either one.

Their expressions are an excellent source of inspiration.

Thank you for taking the time to chat with me about PetWORKs male dolls.

      Hello Happy Herbert,

PetWORKs male dolls are turning out nicely.

Maybe since Ruruko girl has Ruruko boy, PetWORKs wanted Momoko to have friends 😉

Thank you for taking the time to chat with me about PetWORKs’ dolls.
