Where to Buy
I’m not familiar with Calalka’s work.
However, I do know she’s one of the designers highlighted in the Doll’s Closet Pair Style book, released in 2019.
The “New Retro Style” has piqued my curiosity. What is it and what does it entail?
I’m excited to get my hands on this book (yes, I realize I say this for almost every sewing book announced but I’m addicted, what else can I say) ?

This is totally random, but I love how the dolly legs just casually stick out from the side, it makes the cover photo look less ‘perfectly arranged’, more organic feel, and I like that.
I’d like to see samples of individual patterns before making a decision, but I am interested in this one.
Eh, I forgot to delete ‘feel’ when I changed the sentence…
Hi Neon,
You noticed the legs. I didn’t notice them the first time I saw the image ?
I like your story for the cover.
Maybe the designer was going for the organic, “not perfect” set up as you mentioned.
Hopefully, Dolly Dolly will upload more images when the book is released. If they do, I’ll update the post to include them.
I look forward to chatting with you again soon
