This is Interview #3 in our Getting to Know doll shop interviews.

If you missed our interview with Pullip.Asia click the link

Welcome to another edition of the Dolly Insider Interview.

This week we’ve been getting to know a variety of shops who offer Pullip and various fashion dolls.

In today’s interview, we’re getting to know the doll & hobby shop, Toy Malaysia and why Michelle started the business in 2009.

FYI: Be sure to read all the way to the end of the interview. Toy Malaysia has a special code for you, the Dolly Insider reader 🙂 & discover how you can get another entry into the Dolly Insider Interview Giveaway.

Question 1:

Please tell us about Toy Malaysia. Where are you located? How long has Toy Malaysia been in business, and what inspired the creation of the shop?

We are from Malaysia, a country which is located at the heart of South East Asia neighboring to Singapore. Toy Malaysia first started on eBay in year 2009 and our official online store was launched a year after which is year 2010.

I always fascinated by dolly photography and I likes to take pictures of dolls with different themes, I was aware that there weren’t any collectible toy store in Malaysia that is specializing in dolls and accessories hence I decided to startup this business.

Question 2:

What types of products do you offer? Are all your products 100% genuine?

We started up selling Blythe dolls and Barbie and later we have Pullip and family came into picture, now you can see even more products e.g. Azone dolls,FR, PetWORKs and many other products too.

On doll accessories and parts we have Obitsu products and not to forget our house brand doll wigs.

All our products are 100% genuine.

Question 3:

What is 1 thing you wish visitors knew about Toy Malaysia?

We are a reliable collectible toys seller with 6 years of international experience, since 2010  have shipped to almost 60 countries.

Question 4:

You’re in the business of putting smiles on collector’s faces by offering cute dolls and accessories. Could you share a particular moment that made Toy Malaysia proud?

I remembered several years ago there was a customer which working abroad ordered a doll from us and wanted to ship it back to his home country as a gift to a little girl that was on chemotherapy due to leukemia, there were numerous obstacles from making payment all the way to the delivery but finally we get through all obstacles and managed to get the doll delivered to this little girl in The Philippines and the little girl was so happy when she got her gift.

Question 5:

Are you currently running any sales or promotions that you would like to share with our readers?

We are not having sales or promo at the moment however we would like to extend our gratitude to all  Dolly Insider readers by providing a store discount of 3% on every item purchased, Coupon Code: DOLLYINREADER (Valid till 31-March-2016).

Question 6:

Where can our readers go to connect with Toy Malaysia? Do you have a blog, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc?

Do keep in-touch with us via:

  • Website
  • Facebook
  • Blog

Glad to read ToyMalaysia’s interview here. Have been buying variety of dolls from them since 2010. Barbie, Blythe, Groove dolls etc. My main collection of full series of Dal dolls are majority from them. With their international sourcing and shipping experience, I always get what I look for there, with wide ranges and choices, especially some hard to find dolls. Thank you help me build up my hobby and collection. From collecting dolls, custome new body, dressing them with new clothes, changing wigs to dolly photography. Without their reasonable price and good service, I would not afford to have such a great doll collection within my budget. Keep on your good job and continue bring sweet memory to more people with your dolls!!!

I had numerous pleasant deals with ToyMalaysia. In fact, I still remember my first purchase with them; the Oshogatsu Happy New Year Barbie in 2009. Since then, my collecting really took off and I am able to include some grail dolls like the Marie Antoinette, Medusa, Aphrodite, Empress of the Golden Blossom, Carolina Herrera and Reem Acra Bride Barbie dolls into my collection. Overall I believe I bought as many as 40 or maybe 50 dolls from them. I am so grateful with ToyMalaysia. Keep up the good job!
