How has your month been going, we hope you remembered to take time for yourself and recharge your energy.
Speaking of recharging energy, Ruruko’s been very relaxed this week and I think it has something to do with her newest outfit.
Let’s find out what’s making her so zen.
Oh and I mustn’t forget.

It Does Not Matter How Slowly You Go As Long As You Do Not Stop.
Dolly Sewing Crush: Calalka Project #4
For the final look we’re taking it easy . . . I mean Ruruko is taking it easy in her plushy Robe.
Turn to page 70 and you’ll land on a delicate Robe.
In 15 steps you’ll create a Robe your doll will never want to take off.
The Robe pattern fits dolls size:
- 20 – 22 cm
- 22 – 24 cm
- 26 – 29 cm
The directions for the Robe are written in Japanese and include images so you can visually see the step by step instructions.

Your Layout For Sewing Success
Here is your blueprint for making the Robe:
The Robe
- Attach lace trim to sleeves & bodice
- Sew sleeves to bodice
- Sew back & front side seams together
- Attach lace along the sides & hem of skirt
- Sew gather stitch
- Gather skirt to fit bodice
- Attach waist band to skirt
- Place ribbon along the waist
Whoop-de-doo, the Robe is complete!

Final Thoughts:
Ruruko adores her robe and the inner clarity that comes with wearing it.

I didn’t use the recommend tulle to make this pattern.
I’m trying to go without buying new fabric and using what I have on hand.
So Ruruko’s robe doesn’t look like the picture instead it’s fluffy vs the delicate romantic style.
Which is okay in my book because it shows how your choice of fabric can make a difference in the final look.
And That’s A Wrap!
Though this month’s Dolly Sewing Crush is coming to an end, Fall is just getting started!

I love all sorts of comfy wear, and both the tulle original and your fluffy versions are to die for! I think the combination of a fluffy fabric and lace trims is absolutely brilliant and almost lethally cute!!!
My dolls are so going to want something like this.
Hi Neon,
Lounge wear is becoming one of my fav looks to sew.
Now if only I could find lounge wear just as comfy for me.
I look forward to chatting with you again next month! 🙂
