T-shirts are the unsung heroes in my dolls’ wardrobe.
I often overlook them for frilly dresses or cute doll accessories.
Which is strange because it is the exact opposite of my wardrobe.
I wear lots of t-shirts and not many dresses.
I figured my dolls should wear more t-shirts after all it’s a classic piece that looks good on everybody every doll.
Let’s see if we can convince Momoko to wear more t-shirts!

Dolly Sewing Crush: F.L.C. Project #3
This week we are taking a look at a classic T-shirt from Easy Doll Coordinate Recipe on page 22.
In 30 steps your doll will be wearing a comfy T-shirt made just for them.
The T-shirt pattern fits dolls size:
- 11cm
- 20cm
- 22cm
- 27cm
- 42cm
The directions for the T-shirt are written in Japanese and include images so you can visually see the step by step instructions.

Your Layout For Sewing Success
Here is your blueprint for making the T-shirt:
The T-shirt
- Sew front & back shoulder seams
- Attach collar to shirt
- Open seam allowance
- Top stitch the neckline
- Carefully trim excess fabric from collar
- Fold the back edges of the shirt
- Top stitch it down
The Sleeves
- Fold hem of sleeves & top stitch with 2 lines
- Attach sleeves to shirt
Finishing The T-shirt
- Sew sleeves & side seams
- Notch underarm
- Fold & sew hem of shirt
- Sew back close
- Attach closures
Woohoo, the T-shirt is done!

Final Thoughts:
This shirt came together smoothly.
We used an interlock knit. It was stable, it didn’t stretch like jersey knit, and the edges didn’t roll, which was a huge plus!
If you want to show your doll’s personally through a T-shirt, F.L.C. has a section in the book showing how to use stamps to add a design element. (This is a great excuse for me to buy some stamps :))

So well made! It looks totally professional!!!!! Momoko looks so stylish! And I adore that shade of pink.
My dolls also don’t wear many t-shirts (I myself don’t wear them all that often), mostly because I like my crew to sport looks I like but couldn’t pull off. But I like admiring the modern casual look on other people’s dolls.
I find it so neat how dolls sometimes become are alternative selves and how we can live vicariously through them.
Your comments always makes us smile.
An infinite amount of thanks! 🙂
