Part I is the Fate/Grand Order Pretender character Oberon, who’s featured on the cover of volume 37 in his Second Ascension.
Dollybird & Good Smile Company worked closely with the creator, Chica Umino, along with several talented doll designers, creators & customizers to transform Oberon into a Harmonia bloom doll.
There are 3 forms to Oberon: First Ascension, Second Ascension & Third Ascension
Fans can add the First Ascension (sold separately) and the Second Ascension (Dollybird Exclusive) to their doll collection (visit here for the where to buy details for the First Ascension and the Second Ascension).
Since there is no doll of the Third Ascension fans will need to recreate the look on their own.
If that is something you’re interested in doing, Dollybird has included several tutorials so you can take on the challenge of creating Oberon’s Third Ascension.
In the photo how-to’s you’ll learn how to create the faceup, the limbs, the outfit, and the wig of Oberon.
There’s also instructions on creating embroidery butterfly wings & a moth for Oberon.
Part II of the issue focuses on Kinako from the series My Cat Is A Kawaii Girl by 40Hara.
Dollybird & Seaside Peach are transforming the character into a 1/6 scale doll.
However during the design process, the team produced two versions of the character – one with light brown hair and the other with blonde hair.
Both versions looked equally cute, and they couldn’t decide which to present to their fans.
So the team opted to make both versions and leave it up to the fans to decide which version to welcome home (visit here for their where to buy details).
Kinako comes with her iconic OSAKANA T-shirt but your Kinako may want some extra clothes.
If that’s the case then you’ll want to check out the loungewear sewing pattern designed by Red Camera.
The outfit was inspired by the 40hara illustration and can fit 22cm dolls.
Kinako has a favorite Kigurumi called Maguzo (a tuna fish plush).
