Azone International has an online shop called Azonet.
There you’ll find Azone’s dolls including the exclusive ones for sale.
Which is good!
The only problem is that the shop doesn’t ship to collectors outside of Japan 😭
Well, that’s how it used to be.
Things have changed . . .
Azonet and WorldShopping
Azonet partnered with proxy shopping service WorldShopping. (Not sure what a proxy shopping service is? Visit here to learn about it)
Now international customers can buy directly from the Azone online store.
I’m not sure how long Azonet has offered this service.
I first noticed the option in January 2022.
A popup window appeared saying I could buy from Azonet. It was strange and I was intrigued.
So I posted a question in an Azone Facebook group asking if anyone had tried the service yet.
One doll collector replied to my post.
She stated she tried the service a few weeks ago and was waiting for her items to arrive.
So far, her shopping experience was good.
Her reply got me even more excited to give World Shopping a try.
But it wasn’t until October 2022, that I finally placed my 1st Azonet/WorldShopping order.
It all came about, around late September.
We decided to host a new giveaway, Dolls-giving! And we needed a prize.
I thought, why not buy a doll from Azonet.
We’ll get an awesome prize & it would give me a chance to try WorldShopping service.
Add to that the YEN to USD currency was dropping, it looked like all the dolly signs were saying “it’s time to buy from Azone.”
Ordering from Azonet with WorldShopping
On October 3 at 1:05am, I visited Azonet and added a Sahra’s a la mode doll to my WorldShopping cart.
Inside the shopping cart there were the:
- Total item amount
- Japan domestic shipping fee (cost to ship from Azonet to WorldShopping)
- Purchase Agency fee (WorldShopping’s fee)
The amounts were in YEN with the total amount in both YEN & approximate USD amount.
Next, it was time to enter my information and make my 1st payment.
I was directed to WorldShopping Payment Page.
There I made my way down the page, entering all the necessary details & reviewing my order.
And with a click of a button, I place my 1st order. Yay!
My confirmation email arrived soon afterwards.
An hour later at 2:05am, I received another email from WorldShopping.
They purchased my item from Azonet (wow, that was fast).
On October 5 at 5:00am, WorldShopping notified me that my item arrived from Azonet.
It was time to make my final payment.
The final payment included:
- Shipping amount from Japan to the United States (EMS) and
- WorldShopping’s handling fee
I made that payment on October 6 at 4:00am.
By 7:00pm that night, I had another email saying my order had shipped (oh, dolly! that was quick)
On October 14, the doll arrived safe and sound.
Final Thoughts
Overall I’m very pleased & impressed with my shopping experience with Azonet through WorldShopping.
It was an insanely easy process (maybe too easy).
I would order from Azonet or any shop that offered WorldShopping service without any hesitation.
It’s so nice to have more places to buy dolls and doll accessories from.
