Mia joins the Loyal Maid series as part of the EX☆CUTE 20th anniversary.
This release brings back Mia’s cute 2010 expression, now paired with softer, thinner hair for a more natural look.
She also debuts on Azone’s new Q’z Body, giving her updated posing options.
Mia joins Loyal Maid Fuka, Loyal Maid Minami, and Loyal Maid Mio, continuing the maid lineup that first began in 2020.
You can choose between 2 versions, each with its own color theme and hairstyle.

Ha, so I didn’t get one. I checked at midnight (8am Japanese time) before I went to bed and the pre-orders werent up, I set up an alarm for 4am (noon Japanese time), because I found somewhere that’s when the stock updates, but both versions were already sold out by then.
What a popular doll! I’ll try again on release date, but I’m afraid it won’t work out.
When Sera’s pre-order rolls around, I will not go to bed until I get her!

I usually dislike maid dolls, but these are tasteful and come on the beautiful Q’z body so I think I most likely get the black ver.

Can’t say I’m a fan of thinner hair (I don’t need my dolls to look natural, I want them to look dreamy and fantastical), but I still want one. I don’t know which one, though. Both have strong points. I wish there was more time to decide…
Same… To me it seems like Azone is just trying to cut costs somehow because the thinner hair really isn’t better than the previous hair types. Many others agree as well but we still will continue to buy their dolls so they’ll still continue to downgrade the quality sadly. I like dressing up my dolls in different outfits and styling their hair to match, but the thinner hair is SO much more harder to handle with it being so… oily… And the scalp also peeks out a lot more. I’m still going to find a way to purchase them because I’m a big fan of Mia, but I hope in the future Azone listens to their customers
Sadly, I was only recently able to purchase regularly Azone dolls so I haven’t got to collect them in their heyday, hence I’m not exactly sure about the difference in the hair quality, but I do prefer like fully rooted hair to the point of being able to do twintails without bald spots despite not really messing with my doll’s hairstyle often. From what I’m noticing from their so-called 20th Ex-Cute anniversary there is major downgrade in clothes in terms of layers; the new school line has a dress and a shirt by just having the sleeves sawn to dress instead of being a complete separate piece like the original line. I do appreciate how Azone moved away and made their bodies (though it would’ve been preferable if they kept partnership with Obitsu so their dolls could be 100% manufactured in Japan, or at least no part will be from China) and progressed (please Azone completely drop the Flection and Emotion bodies already, they’re so awful!) like I adore the new Q’z body and just wish it had better hip articulation. So, I believe that Azone with its now great variety of bodies suffering a bit from the same problem that plagued Mattel in which they spend more budget on tooling body molds rather than the doll itself, aka clothes and hair. I do hope it will correct itself soon enough and we will get actual worthy line of dolls to celebrate the 20th Ex-Cute anniversary!

I’ve noticed Azone has really been highlighting the hair changes in their announcements lately.
I’m not exactly sure what has caused the hair update, but I’m with you.
I like when dolls look “dreamy and fantastical.”
I haven’t added one of the newer releases to my collection yet, so I can’t compare in person.
But Azone seems very proud of the change since they keep mentioning it😆
