For Groove Inc/Pullip fans the past few months have been eerily quiet.
But on June 1, 2017 the silence was broken when Groove Inc teased about the 2nd volume of the Doll Collection.
The beautiful bookworm Belle from the popular animation Beauty and the Beast is expected to come out.
Using google translator it looks like the leading man the Beast may also make an appearance (Not 100% sure about this).
Belle (& the Beast) will be on display at the Tokyo Toy Show 2017 event which is taking place on June 1-4, 2017 at the Tokyo International Exhibition Center.
Visitors can see the Doll Collection at Bandai’s Disney booth 3-1 as well as at Just Toys Japan Inc booth 1-22.
I’m super excited to see images of Belle!
If she looks as good as I envision, then I may have to add her to my collection since Belle is my favorite Disney Princess!!!
Let’s Talk It Out:
Groove referred to this announcement as Doll Collection Vol 2, so we have a feeling that Belle may not be a “Pullip” just like Disney Doll Collection Cinderella.
If this is the case, I wonder if Bandai has taken over Pullip’s likeness???
Another question we should ask: What exactly is the Doll Collection series?
Will shops outside Japan be able to sell it?
Cinderella still hasn’t appeared outside of Japan, will the same be true for Belle and future Doll Collection characters?
We finally received news from Groove Inc but does this teaser leave you with more questions then answers?
Are you looking forward to seeing promo images of Belle (and the Beast)?
And lastly, who do you think will be the next Princess?

Hi!
Finally!!! I was desesperate to see “real” news from Groove aside pictures of already released dolls! And they will come back with a Disney Princess? I’m so happy! ^^ I was right when I predicted that Belle will be in that list! Yeah! XD Now I’m super excited! I want to see pictures of her! But I’m curious about the Beast. If he is reproduced too will he be in his monster or human version? Because it will be quite difficult to recreate Beast face properly without using modeling method :/ And that means more expensive production… Well… we will see! ^^
Hum you’re right. Neither Cinderella or Yagen Toushirou have been sold outside Japan. Maybe this time they are really exclusive too Japan. I remember that the collection of the Little Prince was stated to be exclusive to Japan and in the end some international sellers could sell them too… Well if I still have a way to bring the girl to my home I won’t complain ^^ It feels like From Japan will be my friend once again! XD
The fact that neither Belle or Cinderella are named as Pullips made me think that Groove has stopped the collaboration with AGA or at least want to put some distance with them. :/ Because if I’m correct the last dolls produced by AGA are Optical Alice, DAL Dana and Isul Caros (not sure about Yagen Toushirou because there isn’t a single picture of him on AGA facebook) and since that time… nothing! Strange isn’t it?
Hiya!
Look at you Anne-Sophie, you were spot on guessing that Belle would make an appearance!!
You don’t know how excited I am to see that they will continue the line and to think it’s Belle.
Good point about the possible forms the prince may take.
Some fans think that if Groove makes the prince he will have a head gear like Pullip Hello Kitty.
I really can’t wait to see images, I hope Groove will announce something soon.
Groove Inc posted on twitter that they would post news on their LINE account on June 3, 2017.
I thought it would be something about Beauty & The Beast.
I was hoping they would share teaser images.
Sadly that wasn’t the case. 🙁
They wrote an apology for not posting the scheduled content.
And they ended the message with the following text “Collaboration with a new brand has started.”
???
Huh, I’m not sure if they where referring to Beauty & The Beast as a new Collaboration or do they mean
collectors can expect to see a non Disney brand release.
I know it has been an unusual year for the Pullip brand.
I too wonder if the relationship between AGA and Groove is fractured.
There is a lot of uncertainly right now which hopefully when Groove makes an announcement things will become clear.
Thanks for chatting with us about Groove Inc at Tokyo Toy Show & Belle
