September 2019, Good Smile Company (GSC) will release their next Harmonia bloom doll.

Her name is Suzuran. She’s the 1st original character from the Harmonia bloom line.

Orders begin: July 31, 2019 – August 28, 2019
Arrival date is: September 2019

You may remember seeing images of Suzuran at Wonder Festival 2019 [Summer].

The lily of the valley that brings with her the spring season.

The next character to join Good Smile Company’s doll brand “Harmonia bloom” is Suzuran, the flower born from snow that ushers in the spring season. Her pale skin is reminiscent of the first snow while her pink nails are based on the spring.

Her outfit features a delicate and pure lace babushka and a skirt based on the shape of the lily of the valley flower, as well as a one piece blouse based on a leaf of the flower. She also comes with brown Mary Jane shoes that match her hair. Be sure to add her to your collection. Good Smile Company

She is too pricey of a shelf-warmer for me, as endearing as she is. Hopefully GSC will consider a $100-150 doll line down the road that can compete with Pureneemo, Momoko, and the like. If anyone can get into the market, I’m sure they can.

      Hi Robyn,

It would be awesome if GSC was in that price range. But judging from the 1st release, this 2nd doll and their blooming doll line (blank body set, blank head, blank body only) I don’t think that’s the price range GSC is aiming for.

GSC dolls are like shipping rates/stamps. The price keeps going up 😉

Thanks for chatting with us about Harmonia bloom

Almost all GSC products are overpriced at this point.

Comparing these to Pullip and Blythe, they’re not really impressive and way more more expensive. This line is doomed to fail.

I’m still shocked how they dare to charge 80$ for mass produced, single jointed 30cm doll body made of plastic.

I really have to agree with you. When they released the blank version of the doll, I was shocked it was still more than a complete Pureneemo or Pullip doll. The premium dolls by other companies in the same price range are of better quality, and these are too expensive to compete with the more mass-produced, cheaper dolls. It seems like they want to have their cake and eat it too by offering “premium” aesthetics on mass-produced parts to make money, but it just won’t work long term with all the competition.

Accept the losses and go back to the drawing board, GSC. Harmonia is a money pit you cannot recover from. :/

            Hi Robyn,

Premium. Oh, that’s what they’re trying to do.

Okaaay. . . I’m curious, did GSC do this for the first figures released way back when? Or was it a gradual progression not only in quality but price?

To jump so quickly from no doll line to a premium doll series seems backwards to me.

I guess the times are a changing

          Hello Anonym,

GSC is the daredevil because they have no issues charging the prices they do for their brand new Harmonia bloom series.

At these price points they can’t be comparing themselves to Pullip or Blythe, right?

They must be aiming for somewhere between BJD and maybe the Blythe/Pullip category but more BJD area.

I’m just surprised and very concerned. I thought the 1st doll was a stretch at ¥25,000 and my mouth hit the floor when I saw the 2nd, non-anime doll, cost $100+ more than the 1st doll.

I’m curious if GSC will continue to shock collectors with the high price and basic designs or will they make adjustments so the series won’t be as you put it “doomed to fail” ?

Thank you for sharing your thoughts about GSC and their Hamonia bloom series.

It was a pleasure chatting with you,

      Hi Sara,

This version is priced higher than the 1st collaboration anime Harmonia bloom. I’m surprised to see the increase.

I am looking forward to autumn so we can see her owner pics.

Alway a pleasure chatting with you,
