They’re transforming Ai into a 1/6 scale Another Realistic Characters doll.

So far, the Another Realistic Characters series, has featured 1/3 scale dolls with acrylic eyes.
But in this dolly collaboration, Azone & Obitsu have changed things up by making Ai a 24cm doll.

I don’t know which size I prefer, the 1/6 scale or the 1/3 scale version?
But I’m impressed how Azone & Obitsu were able to keep Ai’s essence even at this smaller scale.
And those eyes . . . wow, they look so real.
I like her but I’m not sure I’m brave enough to bring her home 😉

I recently ordered this doll and I’m going crazy to find a floral kimono that fits.
I really do not find any store that has Azone sizes.
I tried to ask to some BJD stores but everyone told me that their 1/6 scale clothes are too big for these dolls…
During my research I ended up on your website.

Congratulations on your new Ai Enma!
Unfortunately, the Azone Kimonos are sold out. Hobby Search, AmiAmi and HobbyLink Japan used to sell them.
I saw a Furisode set on Azonet. And a cat maid kimono.
If these work for you, you could try contacting the North America Azone vendors, Fabric Friends & Dolls or TASINA they may be able to help in getting these outfits for you.
You could also try Mandarake. A kimono may appear there that will look lovely on your Ai Enma.

I recently saw that Azone will be releasing some Kimono sets in December. Not sure if they’ll fit your Ai Enma but you can check them out on Azone’s site here.
Got my Enma Ai today, she is really cute.
I had to fix her eyes sadly but that was pretty easy thanks to the silicone cap.
The outfit is well made (maybe a tiny bit big). Love the Obitsu body it makes changing parts just so easy.
The hair is okay (not the biggest fan of the stiffness but after the combing it looks great, like in the pictures.)
She was absolutely worth the wait for me (the size is perfect, i like 20+ size dolls much more).

This 1/6 scale version features Ai Enma with acrylic doll eyes, so you should be able to change them.

I per-ordered her right away. Hell girl was and still is my fav. Anime so ya she just had to be ordered. It’s now Aug. so i hope it won’t take to much time till her release now. She will be my first Azone\Obtisu girl let’s see how she is compared to my BJD’s. But nerveless she looks stunning and will be one of my fav. girls as soon as i can hold her in my hands.
Wasn’t the biggest fan of the taller one (mainly because i just collect dolls max. of 42 cm in size XD plus i wasn’t the biggest fan of her eyes to be honest).

I have the first one the one that includes with the kimono. I have to say between this one & the one I have they almost look identical except this one is way much better. Especially the eyes.

I’m really really excited for this one. While I usually stick to bjd I have this weakness for well-designed character dolls. For me, Azone’s 1/3 dolls never seem to look as good as equivalent Volks ones but if this new(?) line of 1/6 dolls really turns out as good as the Doll Show sample… I might be addicted.
For now I’m really hoping the doll we receive has the same adorable expression and hair and if that’s the case I’ll be praying for a kimono-version!
Edit: I just thought about her uniform and it being all-black – how likely is it that she will get stained from it over time, especially since she’s very pale? I don’t know too much about obitsu bodies but I don’t recall ever seeing a non-resin doll that isn’t at (high) risk of staining from dark fabrics…

I too hope Azone & Obitsu deliver what they promised and then some.
It’s so exciting to see so many collectors and fans getting so excited for her release.
Her success could open a whole world of stunning & details dolls for us in the future.
But then again as you said, one may become addicted . . . I can hear the wallets weep 😉
There’s is a very high chance she will experience staining from her uniform. It’s simply the nature of the vinyl and the dye in the material unfortunately.

She really looks great. I had a look at her pricing though on Hobbysearch and I have to say it was hard but I had to pass on her as much as I liked her. Her price point was just way too high for me given that I want to get some Integrity dolls this year too. I hope though I can find some owner photos of her later and enjoy those instead!

I don’t really care in particular about Hell Girl ( I do need to try watch it someday), but the doll just fill so many spots for me; silky black hair, pale white skin and school uniform. The fact she got inset eyes is huge bonus, I hope it become more common (in 1/6 scale) and I would like to see later on dolls with both inset eyes and eyelashes as well. I am bit worried about the black clothes staining the Obitsu body which use soft vinyl and I do wonder if Azone put reusable protection…
I am really excited to get her, it will be my second adult collector fashion doll and my first Obitsu doll which as I heard are very sturdy and high quality (unlike Azone bodies…).

She did cost almost 20$ more than say the Angelic Sigh Lian I got last year, it probably has to do with : 1. use of Obitsu body which is made in Japan (YES!) 2. licensed character.
I don’t get to buy much of adult collector fashion dolls anyway so I did pre-orderd her. She is really great looking doll and 1/6 with inset eyes is quite rare, so I can see why it is so hard to pass on.

Enma Ai turned out so amazing. They really delivered on capturing the character from her familiar uniform to her eerie red eyes. Despite her not matching my pureneemo collection, I couldn’t resist her. I’m hoping Azone eventually releases a dark patterned kimono that would suit her so I don’t have to try and make my own, lol.

So many fans want her kimono. I wonder why Azone didn’t include it. Maybe they wanted to keep her price at a certain amount and a kimono would have pushed the cost up.

Yes, I prefer anime characters in 1/6 scale so you can afford to collect a whole series! For Hell Girl, I just pre-ordered her. I really hope they come out with her kimono as a separate purchase!!!

I would absolutely love if they started to make more of the character dolls in 1/6 scale!! Especially If the Order is a Rabbit gang!! I would own them all in a heartbeat!! 1/3 scale is just too big to me. I know plenty of people live them, but still such a huge doll.

There are several fans who are like you and would love to see more dolls in this scale and with an Obitsu body.
I am rooting for this style of doll to be a success for Azone & Obitsu.
