Mon-DOLL Makes Week 16: A Skirt Fit For Me – Rectangle Skirt 1

With Raven’s blouse complete it’s finally time to tackle a skirt from Doll Sewing Paper Pattern Textbook Skirts & Pants!

The 1st project in the book is a rectangle skirt with an elastic waist.

The skirt turned out better than I expected
Hmm . . . I wonder where I’ll go today

Raven enjoys wearing her skirt & we’re glad we took the 1st step in getting over our fear of working through this book.

I look good from this angle too
Thanks for the skirt, I’m gonna go now

What’cha Makin?

Have you experienced putting off a project because you thought it wouldn’t be easy only to realize it wasn’t so bad after all?

  1. Simple and elegant, and will go nicely with pretty much anything! And look at that neat hem! I’m all thumbs, so I greatly appreciate things like straight seams and regular hems, because for me, they’re rather hard to achieve.

Also, Raven looks very snazzy, and she’s rocking that ponytail!

    1. Thanks Neon!

I tend to be impatient with hems too but I’ve been working on taking my time and enjoying the process of hems . . . and from the sounds of it, it’s starting to pay off hehe 😉

p.s. Raven says thanks for the hair compliment! She was iffy about changing up her hairdo 😂
