What am I:

I have four legs but I’m not a dog
I have a back but I’m not a camel
I sometimes have arms but I don’t have any hands
I can be sat on but I’m not a horse
I’m a piece of furniture but I’m not a bookcase

Did you guess chair, because for this Mon-DOLL Makes we’re turning to a project found in Dollybird Vol. 20.

Thanks to Jodi L, comment, we’re ready to push our fears aside and build a chair for our dolls!

1st step, reading the instructions and gathering the materials!

Pull up a chair and let’s see how this adventure goes.

      Hey Jodi L!

Yay, we’re glad to hear that!

We hope you give it a try.

It’s not as scary as we thought it would be 😅

Ah, yes! Making furniture! I watched a YouTuber make a doll house out of cardboard and a 50-50 mix of spackle and elmer’s glue. Now I have a pile of cardboard (from all these orders…) to make doll couches. If only a doll sits on it – it doesn’t have to be super strong, right?

I hope your chair building project goes well!

I, personally, haven’t built anything for my dolls, but I did buy what I think is a hand-made couch and chairs set for them. I say ‘I think’ because when I found it on eBay, it was listed as a Sindy product, but I have been unable to find one similar. Also, it’s a lot more solid than ones you would usually buy.

I would like to make them something, I just don’t know what.

      Hiya Z,

      a mystery couch and chair set . . . now that’s interesting! 😀

I know what you mean about not knowing what to build.

      Some project seem intimidating.

I just want the easy beginner friendly projects but those are so hard to come by 😔

But in the end I’m sure whatever item you build, your dolls are sure to appreciate the time and effort that went into making it 😉

Thanks for chatting with us about building props for dolls
