It was like any other day, I was cleaning my room.
I go to clean the bookshelf where I keep my dolls.
I grab Yuzuha Rock’n Girl who is on the top shelf and somehow she slipped from hand and landed on the floor . . .
Oooh nooo, I hope she’s okay!?!

I quickly inspect her to make sure there were no broken limbs.
Luckily there were no dolly accidents.
Sigh of relief, I apologize, comb her hair, and place her back on the shelf.
Upon closer inspection, I noticed something was missing from her shoes, I look down on the floor and notice both buckle straps laying on the ground.
Oh no biggie, it should be a quick fix.
Days past by, weeks, and months still no fix to Yuzuha’s shoes!!! 😩
But that’s about to change because this week’s Mon-DOLL Makes is a Repair!
Don’t know why it took me so long to fix her shoes.
I used Aleene fabric glue, let them sit for a couple of hours and the shoes were good as new umm well sort of . . .
I actually glued the left shoe buckle strap incorrectly. 😭
Instead of gluing the buckle strap towards the outside of the shoe I glued it facing the inside.
So I had 2 shoes with buckles in the same position.
It looked like she had 2 right feet. 😂

But once I fixed it, both shoes were good as new!

That about does it, see you next Mon-DOLL Makes!

Oh my. . . how scary! Good thing Yuzuha wasn’t hurt! And the shoes are looking good as new. Aleene’s fabric glue is pretty versatile, good to know it can repair small details like straps.
The repair I’ve been putting off is re-stringing my BJD. She’s almost ten years old now and really needs it as the elastic slowly loses strength over time. I’ve successfully disassembled her, but putting her back together will take time and effort so it’s daunting. . . . Maybe I’ll set aside an hour tomorrow and give it a shot!
Oh wow 😮
It never dawned on me that BJD’s need re-stringing
I hope your re-stringing goes smoothly 😀
Thanks for taking the time share your dolly repair!

Well done, looks like new. Luckily the doll wasn’t hurt. 😩
I think it was a dangerous situation, it seems to me that Japanese dolls are so delicate that any fall is dangerous. 😓
Hey Nati,
I’m so glad it was only her shoes that were damaged 😌
You’re so right about dolls being delicate, we we’re just saying that if Harmonia was the one to have fallen, we probably would have had to make a purchase for a new body because she is so fragile.
Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment on this Mon-Doll Repair! 🙂
