On April 27, 2019, Hobby Japan opened orders for the dolls Ribbon & Tyrol.
These cuties are the models from the pattern book, Obitsu 11 Pattern Paper Textbook- 11cm Size Girl Clothes.
Hobby Japan, decided to transform the adorable Obitsu 11cm girls into actual dolls for collectors to own (yay!).
We first saw images of Tyrol & Ribbon at Doll Show 55 Asakusa Spring.
The girls are inspired by the materials: Tyrolean Tape & Ribbon.
Each girl will arrive with a simple dress . . . which may seem odd at first.
But Hobby Japan will include the embellishments:
- Ribbon
- Tyrolean Tape and
- Hook-and-loop fasteners
So collectors can decorate the dress with a lot of embellishments, with a little of embellishments or keep it simple with no embellishments.

When I first saw images of the girls at doll show 55, I was very curious about them.
And now that I know who they are . . . I’m tempted to add another 11cm girl to my dolly family.
Both girls look so sweet but Ribbon is tugging at my heart a bit more than Tyrol (but not by much).
I have until July to make my final decision but I’m 98% sure I’ll welcome home Ribbon in 2020.
The only thing that’s preventing me from pulling the trigger is that mysterious, 45cm, under development doll Azone had on display at doll show.
Ugh, Dolly Decisions!!

They’re so tiny and cute! I actually have a few small resin dolls about this size made by an artist and, if you are a fan of small dolls, you will definitely appreciate these ones. The difficulty in getting them and the price is a good deterrent, but I can’t help but look at Tyrol and hope they’ll release them again someday when I have the funds to throw around, lol.
Hi Robyn,
Thank you for sharing your thoughts about Tyrol and Ribbon. I love how you put it about having “funds to throw around” I sure could use some of that this month & the next.
Between my interest in Azone EX-Cute magical series and the new 45cm doll they plan to reveal this month my “normal” wallet can’t catch a break. I need a super fat wallet.
It always a pleasure chatting with you,
Tatyana
Wow, they’re both sooo cute !! I wish I could add one of these cuties to my family but sadly they’re so hard to get 🙁 Do you know their full size ? Is it 11 cm + head or 11 cm in total ?
Hello Lucie,
They’re 11cm in total (from head to toe).
The cute hair color and facial expression are too irresistible d=(^o^)=b
Thank you for taking the time to chat with us about Ribbon and Tyrol.

These two are really really adorable. I thought I was going to be in trouble for a minute but then I read you needed a proxy to order them and let out a sigh of relief as my wallet is now saved and I can admire them from afar. They are tempting though but I shall resist.
Hi Alasse Carnesir,
I wish I had your willpower right now.
These girls are calling to me and I can’t resist them.
I knew they were coming, I just didn’t expect it to be so soon.
No summer break for my wallet unfortunately ・゜゜・(/□\*)・゜゜・
Nice chatting with you,
Tatyana
They’re adorable!! Slightly confused about the dates though…. will definitely be adding one of these girls to my doll family.
Hi Mariana,
Sorry for the confusion.
The arrival date is January – February 2020.
The date is fixed now.
Thanks,
Tatyana (●→‿ฺ←●)
