On October 23, 2013 I talked about this upcoming release and I’m glad to see actual promotional images of this doll, but my feelings are pretty much the same as they were back then (see text below).
Things I love:
- Pretty dress
- Headband
- Additional nurse outfit (Aside from modeling, Aoki Misako is also a registered nurse)
Critiques:
- Hmm . . . honestly since I’m not too familiar with Aoki Misako or Midori Fukasawa, I’m not sure how I feel about this collection. For now “It Is What It Is”
- When I first saw these two dolls together (with no information before hand) I thought it was the same doll but wearing a different outfit with a different wig. There is no real difference between the Pullips other than their attire and the wigs
Price: ¥18,000 about $185.00
Limited Edition: Unknown
Is this latest release a great start to the 2014 year, and are you excited for this lovely girl? Leave a comment below! 🙂

We’ve been seeing quite a few collaboration dolls towards the end of the 2013 year.
Winter 2013 (date maybe 2014 according to BABY, THE STARS SHINE BRIGHT website) , Pullip and BABY, THE STARS SHINE BRIGHT collaborate to bring fans the Aoki Misako and Midori Fukasawa Pullip Dolls.
Back in Oct 3, 2013 Aoki Misako posted a twitter image of both dolls.
Official names for these darlings and release date are yet to be known, but I believe probably Dec 2013 since Groove already announced the Nov 2013 line up.
If you don’t already know, Aoki Misako is the Ambassador of Kawaii; The face of Cute around the world! 🙂
No really, I’m not kidding, she received this title in 2009 from the Ministry for Foreign affairs to help promote and spread all things cute and also to teach others the history of lolita fashion. You may have seen Aoki Misako in the Harajuku magazine KERA and modeling for well known lolita fashion such as BABY, THE STARS SHINE BRIGHT. She is also a registered nurse (Her doll will come with a nurse outfit)
Midori Fukasawa is a well known fashion model in Japan, she has been in countless magazines!
I’m so so on these dolls, I’ll wait to see the official images before I totally make up my mind.

I am going to get pullip aoki misako , I think her face looks very different than Midori Fukasawa’s . Midori has these very pronounced double eyelids , which I don’t like that much . Anyways , I am extremely exited about getting my first pullip ( I only have mini pullip stica ), but I am hesitating between Pullip Hannah and Aoki Misako . I like better Aoki’s hair colour and outfit . Pullip Hanna’s outfit is not very pretty , but I will anyways make naw outfits with my sewing machine (:
Wich one would you recommend ?
Hello,
We would recommend Pullip Aoki Misako because you get 2 outfits with Misako.
Also Aoki Misako’s wavy hair style makes her look really cute & innocent. The hair style may not last very long because Pullip tends to have unruly hair but if you can manage this type of hair then she is the way to go.
Hannah is cute & we like her eyes but for us, Pullip Aoki Misako beats Hannah by an extra outfit & cute personality.
A girl can’t have too many outfits in her wardrobe 🙂
Thanks for taking the time to share your Pullip passion.
