December 2013 we get to see the poor little peasant girl transform to the gorgeous Pullip Cinderella Dahlia!
This is one release that I was anxiously awaiting.
Order the exact same doll. Checkout eBay, she maybe there.

Things I love:
- Sweet innocent face up
- Her gown is decent
Critiques:
- I’m not so sure if this release meets my expectations. She’s kind of bland for Cinderella (and this is just my honest opinion) not really grabbing my attention as much as I had hoped for
- I think it would’ve been best if her gown was included with the peasant version of Dahlia or sold as part of an outfit selection since the faceup hasn’t really changed any
- Her price is another issue, ¥18,000 (18,900 with tax) is a bit expensive for a release that isn’t going to be limited
- Cinderella Dahlia is priced the exact same as Pullip Myra, who when first announced by Groove wasn’t a limited edition doll, it wasn’t until a week later that Groove made the decision to announce that Myra would be a limited release of 300
- If they can justify the price than I can welcome this girl with open arms
- Will she be limited?
- Will she come with a glass slipper accessory?
Price: ¥18,000 about $185.00
Limited Edition: No

I don’t like the way they did the embroidery. It looks like a cutout, like there’s a vague white film around all the fancy swirls and it’s sewn up the middle with blue thread. I don’t know anything about how doll makers make clothes but it seems like there should have been a better way to do this design. Maybe the final version won’t be that way.
Hi
Thanks for leaving a comment!
I agree, I’m not a huge fan of her dress either, I mean it’s okay looking but the prototype version of her gown is waaaaaay better, I love the lace detail.
I feel like they cheaped out out a bit =/
I’m with you though, I hope the final version looks nice 🙂

My main complaint is that- as with her peasant form and the Nahh-ato- they obviously took design cues from a certain North American design company. 😡 As much as I love the dress, I need more Cinderella diversity. Enough blue dresses! I guess a side-affect of being one of “the big guys” is that a studio can set a permanent design trope for fairy tales, but.. Enough is enough. I mean, even her peasant-form dress is practically the same. ;__;
They are lovely dresses, tho. 😡
I agree, it would have been nice if the brand used a bit more creativity and presented us with an amazing interpretation of the Cinderella line.
Maybe like they did for Another Alice in Wonderland series.
We simply haven’t seen that type of design and style since then.
I get that for some businesses it’s a bit scary to act outside the box (aka Innovate). It’s certainly requires $$ & time, 2 things most do not want to give up.
But if companies don’t try & do something to WOW! their customers, they may start to lose customers & $$ to their competitors.
I read some where that a company/brand can not “stop or even rest just because [of a] single success.”
I hope the Pullip brand creates something soon that will WOW! the fans again.
Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts on Pullip Cinderella Dahlia

the peasant version i think is going to do a lot better than the ball gown version, but cha never know. and the step sisters, god, they put “beauty” marks on both of them… oh god, whyy. the tae yang is decent, not ugly but not too pretty to be a guy like some are. and the Isul… um… he is her fairy godmother… bwahhahahaha poor Isul, people mistake you for a girl as it is. The mouse and pumpkin are too adorable as well. well i think i have covered everyone 😀
You covered everyone very well! 😀
The beauty marks on Dal and Byul, I thought that was different. You rarely see that on Pullips.
haha Isul as godmother….ugh yeah, that still puzzles me very much xD. WHY place him as a godmother/godbrother???
I think it would’ve been nice to just have Isul as an assistant of Prince Taeyang or something….??? I know it’s not in the fairy tale but anything other than fairy godmother lol
oh what a beautful video… it showed all of them so well<3. looks like we nailed who the step sisters were going to be, and do you know if both dresses go to cinderella or if theres a before and after version. because i think it should be one doll.
to tell the truth i dont know how i feel about the fairy god brother.
Whoo whoo points for us for getting the step sisters correct! 🙂
Haha, yeah the idea of having isul as the fairy god brother is so odd/funny! 😀
You know, that’s a good question, it really would be best to have one doll and 2 outfits vs two totally different Pullips.
i mean it is the same character isnt it? and she becomes those two things so it would be logcal and more cost effective.
definitely, lets hope that they do that. Because you are right, it really would be cost effective for Pullip collectors who love the Cinderella story plus it just makes logical sense. (Fingers crossed)
either way though both outfits are really cute i must say. and the little mouse mini is cute.
The mouses are tooo cute!
