The 17th, 18th, and 19th Sailor Moon members revealed as part of the Groove Inc Sailor Moon franchise are the fab trio; Sailor Starlights.

Starting from left to right we have:

Sailor Star Maker with her hazel brown hair pulled back into an awesome looking long pony tail.

Front and center in the power pose is Sailor Star Fighter demanding your attention.

And last but certainly not least we have the gorgeous Sailor Star Healer with the baby lime green straps.

I adore her silver grey wig, its a beautiful combination with those striking green eyes.

She has to be my favorite of the 3 ^^

Which girl is your favorite out of the line up?

pullip Sailor Starlights

Wow, these dolls certainly grab your attention.

The shiny black latex creates a moody impression.

They are totally different from the previously released dolls, that’s for sure, with their edgy aura.

I can’t stop looking at all the little details on them.

I love the angel wings across their chest and the choker necklace on Pullip Sailor Star Healer.

I’m not familiar with the Sailor Moon series, but from what I gather about this trio, they came to Earth from the planet Kinmoku, disguised as boys in search of their princess. wiki

Very interesting story.

Is it just me or are the Sailor Senshi from Outside the Solar System kicking butt by looking so darn COOL!

  1. I think they turned out great. Along with the uniforms they should have come with optional Taeyang bodies lol. I was a fan of Sailor Moon so I don’t mind all of the releases, even though I don’t have any of them, though I’d love to put Sailor Venus’s outfit on J-doll Robson Street and call it a day.

    1. Haha now that is hilarious XD, optional Taeyang bodies!

Whoa, J-doll Robson Street does have the gorgeous wig and similarities to pull off the Sailor Venus look.

It would be neat to see her wearing Venus’s outfit.

Thanks a lot for bringing her to our attention 🙂

  2. Groove is definitely going overboard with the sailor moon releases. Then again, groove tends to take a good idea and use the heck out of it (Alice in Wonderland series). Groove should have done a repeat of what they did for the vocaloid series. There are over 30 vocaloids so they chose the 5 most popular and that was it (until they made 3 other versions of Miku of course).

    1. Very great point about the Vocaloid series.

It would’ve been nice if Groove did this with the Sailor Moon line.

Release the top 5 or maybe even top 10 characters, I mean they had a poll asking fans which dolls they would like to see.

But at this point with 19 Sailor Moon dolls, Groove is simply obsess with Sailor Moon.

This could be due to either:

A: This line is a huge success for Groove

B: Groove Inc is having an identity crisis and totally forget that their company was built on original design dolls or

C: Bandai has taken over the Groove Inc brand

Maybe in June 2016 Groove will get back into the groove of things by releasing beautiful original dolls.

  3. Wow, this is quite a surprise. As a Sailor Moon fan, even I have to admit Groove’s gone a bit overboard with the amount of releases, still I didn’t expect this trio! I always thought the starlights had a neat design on the show, and I think it translates well to Pullip form. I think that they kind of work best as a trio though, it’d be difficult to settle on just one.

They jumped pretty far into the series though, at this rate I’d love to see a Pullip Galaxia. 20 pullips for a 20th anniversary? (which has been going on a few years lol)

    1. Hi Ember,

20 Dolls to mark the 20th Anniversary!

Now that is a great marketing strategy 🙂

Just googled Galaxia and I really like her features especially her hair color, it would be interesting to see it on a Pullip.

Thanks for stopping by and chatting with us about the Sailor Starlights dolls.

  4. I saw the new dolls announcement as soon as it appeared on the official Sailor Moon website and I must say I was delighted to see the Sailor Starlights. Of all the Sailor Moon merchandise being released, the Starlights are the most neglected characters; there are very few items with their image. So for a change, it was a nice to see they were considered for the Pullip family. Their costumes are awesome. I’m eager to see what their Premium Bandai versions will include: their school uniforms or their idol suits?

Now that Groove hasn’t followed the list since Princess Small Lady’s release, I wonder what their plans are. For the time being, they have 3 months more worth of Sailor Moon dolls. The question is, what will happen after that?

    1. Yeah, that is the question on everyone’s mind, What is going to happen next?

Is it Groove’s goal to make every single Sailor Moon character?

If so, that certainly will be a heck of an accomplishment.

I didn’t know that the Sailor Starlights were neglected characters as far as products.

It’s very interesting see that Groove/Bandai decided to make them into Pullip Sailor Moon dolls for collectors.

  5. I’m definitely getting Star Healer! My favorite one in the trio. Funny enough, just this month I was wondering when these three would get released but I guess we won’t ever get a Mistress Nine or Queen Nehelenia if they have skipped to the Star Lights’s. Well one can dream…

I’m also finally watching the last series of Sailor Moon on Hulu. I did read the manga long ago but the final season never got released in the US.

    1. I’m glad to hear you like Pullip Star Healer.

Oh wow, I had no idea that they never aired the final season.

Thank goodness for the Anniversary and modern technology.

Yeah, I was really surprised to see that Groove is detouring from the Sailor Moon character poll.

It makes you wonder how long this line is going to continue.

  6. Alasse Carnesir

I’m not sure I could pick a favourite among these three, they are very well done and I think Groove have translated the characters well into doll form. The series featuring these three were among my favourites so I was curious to see if Groove would actually be doing the Starlights.

I remember when I first watched this series and being confused with the english translation and thinking these were actually boys who transformed into girls!

I do think, as pretty as these dolls are, that Groove maybe should move on from the Sailor Moon Franchise. They’ve pretty much covered most of the important characters already and it would be nice to see more original dolls from them (that isn’t another collaboration, even though those dolls are really gorgeous).

I have been looking at older releases lately. There was a lot of fresh vibrant ideas in the early years of Groove so it’s nice that those dolls can still be picked up, at least quite a few of them. Some are too rare now to even get your hands on but there are some that you can still manage to get.

    1. I totally agree, I could’ve said it better.

The Sailor Moon Pullips are cute but as you stated “Groove maybe should move on from the Sailor Moon Franchise”

It would be nice if Groove/AGA got back to their roots by bringing fans: original, fresh, and vibrate ideas.

2016 is just kicking off so there is plenty of time for them to create original dolls.
