My jaw literally hit the floor when I saw these beautiful Aika dolls.
Azone International and doll designer Kanihoru along with Hobby Japan’s doll magazine Dolly Bird, are bringing fans 2 adorable girls, Otogi no Kuni – Snow White Princess Aika and Otogi no Kuni – Snow Black Princess Aika, this summer.
However like previous Azone doll releases, one doll will be a regular release and the other doll will be an exclusive.
You’ll be able to purchase Snow White Princess Aika, from your favorite hobby shop.
However for Snow Black Princess Aika, she’s a Hobby Japan exclusive doll which means if you live outside of Japan you’re gonna need to ask your BFF for a favor.
If you don’t have a friend in Japan then you’ll want to get familiar with a proxy service so that they can help you bring Aika home.

I have feeling these girls are going to sell-out super quick.
And why wouldn’t they? Azone, Kanihoru and Hobby Japan’s Dolly Bird have a fantastic doll on their hands.
You know it, I know it and they know it. I mean, Hobby Japan already has a cute promotional page set up in preparation for orders.
Aika will be at Wonder Festival Winter 2016. If she looks half as good as she does in the promo photos I imagine there’s gonna be a feeding frenzy like the Cabbage Patch Kids in the 80’s and the Tickle Me Elmo in the 90’s.
Pre-orders for the Snow Black Princess Aika, Hobby Japan’s Limited version, begin February 26, 2016 – June 21, 2016.
I’m not sure if Snow Black Princess is a made to order doll or will they close orders after they reach a certain number?
There is no announcement on when pre-orders will begin for Snow White Princess Aika.

Oh my g**! They are so beautiful! I didn’t expect any release in the ex-cute family since we see a Sara of babbles doll at doll show… But why not? 😀 I will not complain about it! Well, Azone please take my money! Those two are everything I love! Classical lolita outfit with ribbon and lace… So bad that one of them is a store limited version… I will pray for seeing her one day on eBay website. >.<

eBay maybe your best bet to get the exclusive doll if you do not wish to deal with a proxy service.
With the Sahra line and EX-Cute line . . . My money is gonna be in my hands for a brief moment before going straight to Azone.
Like you, I’m not complaining. These girls are so cute and I feel so happy just looking at them. I can only imagine what joy I’ll experience if/when I get them home.

Finally I can’t resist to the tempation and I used the proxy service in this article and… Am I really going to get this beautiful Snow Black Princess Aika?! *O* It’s just too beautiful if it’s true! Somewhere inside my head a little voice still repeats that it’s impossible… There must be something I don’t read or understand and my order will be cancelled just like three or four years ago when I tried to order gothic lolita clothes on well known proxy website (it begins with a Ta… and ends with a -bao). So until I don’t get a confirmation mail for this beauty I will continue to be sceptical…

From Japan has a very easy & pain-free shopping process.
I’ve also tried ordering from Tabao.
I used a fairly good proxy service.
I had to jump through a lot of hoops to get the order just right and on a few occasions my order was cancelled.
So being a little skeptical is normal.
You are not alone on this journey for Snow Black Princess Aika. We’re right there with you.
Here a scary story about me ordering Snow Black Princess Aika:
After I filled out all my info, on From Japan, and hit the submit button, the payment process was spinning on the screen and then I got this red notice that my credit card was declined.
You can imagine what was going through my head “NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Why is this happening!”
I knew I was not over my balance (yet) because I had checked my credit card statement before ordering.
I was confused and worried.
Luckily, after some investigation (calling my credit card company) it turned out it was fraud protection (sigh of relief).
Within 24 hours I was able to order Snow Black Princess Aika.
Talk out a scary situation, lol
Now the fun part . . . waiting
Ah, I’ve been waiting for you to post about this one when I saw the photos on the Azone News blog. I suspected the Snow Black Princess Aika might have been a Japan exclusive so I’m glad to get this confirmed now. Which is a shame but seems to be the norm for Azone.
Lucky I also like the Snow White Princess Aika as well and will try for her. I already have an Aika but she has silver hair and I kind of prefer Aika with blonde hair so wish me luck!
And I have to agree with you, I reckon both girls will probably sell out pretty quickly.

I thought Little Briar Rose Lien would end up staying the most beautifully detailed of the otogi no kuni girls but looks like I was wrong.I would love to bring both girls home but Snow Black Princess Aika is my favourite ♡ I guess I’ll end up having to hunt her down on YJA or Mandarake later in the future assuming she’s the Direct Store version.
