PetWORKs posted an image of this cute little Ruruko who was transformed into the character Luluco from the anime series Space Patrol Luluco (Uchū Patorōru Ruruko).
This doll will be on display at the Bunbougu Cafe where an exhibition titled “Welcome OGIKUBO Omotesando” is held.
The event period is August 3 – August 23, 2016
Location Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo 4-8-1 Uchida building B1F
According to PetWORks you can photography Luluco and it’s undecided if this particular Ruruko will be massed produced.
I only watched 1 episode of the series and I was confused O.o
Hmm . . . maybe this image of the cute Ruruko will motivate me to give Space Patrol another try!
It’s Opinion Time!
Would you like to see this doll have an official release and have you seen the anime series?

I think they did great on this doll! It’s a very cute representation of the character.
The series is deliberately silly and almost purposely “bad”. Considering this is the same studio that brought us Kill la Kill, it’s not too surprising how eccentric and over the top it is, haha. I almost want to say the series is a small pat on the back for the studio who made it, Trigger.
**SPOILERS**
They not only reference their prior works in it (like Kill la Kill, Little Witch Academia, and Sex&Violence with Machspeed), but essentially do mini-crossovers with them. And at the end of the series, the main character Luluco gets the nickname of Trigger-chan. Considering this series aired a few months before Trigger’s 5th anniversary, it’s not too hard to believe it’s a little self-written love letter to what they’ve accomplished. c:
Hey Robyn,
Now that is some fantastic insight you provided. Thank you!
Ahhh yes, the infamous Kill La Kill that was one crazy anime wasn’t it?
Haha you’re kidding me, so Space Patrol Luluco has references to their other shows?
I like that Trigger doesn’t take themselves seriously and they are proud of their work.
It’s very different approach for a company to praise themselves.
Thanks to the information you provided, I will watch the series with a new set of eyes 😀
