I finally got a chance to open up the Nendoroid Doll Dan Heng – Express Travel ver. that I got from Good Smile US (GSC)!

Since I got him from GSC, he came with bonus items, which are very nice.

You can see Dan Heng up close and in action in the video below. I show the full unboxing, all of the pieces that come with him, and pose him in cute, fun positions at the end.

Assembly Adventures

Putting Dan Heng together was a little tricky, but worth it.

  • Glasses: Took a while to place because you have to line them up perfectly with the subtle notches. At first, I just winged it, but I soon began to worry that I would damage his faceup. Once I had the pamphlet diagram in front of me, it all clicked.
  • Dragon Horn Headband: Same story here, aligning with the notches takes patience, but the diagram helps a lot.
  • Bonus Observations: The button included is sturdy and heavy, almost like a magnet in size and weight.

It really shows how helpful the pamphlet is for placing delicate pieces. Sometimes, a little reference goes a long way!

Impressions

Overall, I’m really happy with Dan Heng.

  • He’s the 2nd Nendoroid Doll boy in my collection.
  • Will he be the last? Not sure. The Hetalia Japan release looked cute, but I’ve been trying to slow my Nendo Doll spending.
  • I have a few more dolls I want to add, so I need to pace myself.

Still, Dan Heng is a welcome addition and definitely adds to my collection.
