Sekiguchi recently made an announcement for 2 Wake-Up momoko dolls; Wake-Up momoko DOLL WUDsp Azone004 and Wake-Up momoko DOLL WUDsp Azone005.
Each girl is wearing a simple grey sleeveless dress with white trimming along the shoulder and bust line.
Wake-Up momoko DOLL WUDsp Azone004 is the doll with brown curly hair.
Wake-Up momoko DOLL WUDsp Azone005 is the doll with peach pink hair with streaks of cotton candy blue throughout her bangs and the length of her hair.
Both dolls are pretty but my eyes gravity more towards . . . you guessed it the girl with the blue streaks.
The scheduled release date for the Wake-Up momoko ladies is January 2016.
Sekiguchi and Azone always manage to present fans with stunning dolls when the two companies work together. The July 2014 release of Wake-Up momoko Doll WUDsp Azone002 & WUDsp Azone003 was another stellar pair of dolls!

I like the doll with the streaked hair. I emailed Petworks and they said they would not be selling these dolls. You girls are so lucky that can order them. As an international buyer I hope I get the chance to order my favourite one somehow.
Hi Lianne!
Thanks for sharing which doll you like. 🙂
We appreciate you letting us know that PetWORKs will not be offering these girls. 🙁
If your familiar with a proxy service you may be able to snatch one up at Azone’s Online Site.
Here is an informative post about using a proxy service.
I hope you are able to add the girls to your collection.

I cannot find the comments I were alerted to by mail was posted, so I’ll answer here. I have a facebook friend who is an official Petworks and Sekiguchi dealer, and who’s always allotted a small, decided amount of any momoko they release time ahead of the dolls’ release on the websites. He was allowed a few of each of these two girls, which is how I’ve put my pre-order in.
That’s really awesome Martine that you have a Momoko dealer.
I imagine it eases your mind especially when new dolls are announced and have the potential of selling out quickly.
When your girls arrive home to you, I hope they are even more beautiful in person. 🙂
Please feel free to share owner pix, I’m curious to see what these gorgeous girls look like in person.

Have these gone on sale anywhere yet? I have been looking, but haven’t found anything. I really love the one with the colorful hair, and I don’t want to miss her! Thanks!

I definitely prefer the girl with the streaks in her hair but then again, I love dolls with colourful hair.
I’ve been tempted so many times with Momoko dolls but have not bought any yet. I’ve seen a few reviews of these dolls around and almost all of them say similar things regarding how fragile their ankles are and how prone they are to cracking and how easily their joints become loose. A few reviewers even received brand new dolls with cracked ankles already. It’s one of the major reasons I haven’t purchased one of these yet, however, I do like looking at photos of them by other owners.
The Wake Up dolls are pretty nicely priced but the others I’ve noticed are at the same price point as Pullips. So if I ever did get one, it would most likely be one of the Wake Up dolls.
Yeah, dolls with colorful hair are always fun!
Oh no, that’s not cool to hear. New dolls with broken limbs 🙁
That’s really a shame, especially when the dolls aren’t cheap!
Hopefully PetWORKS/ Sekiguchi have good customer service.
The various price points are one of the great benefits that the Momoko brand offers to their fans.
I wish Groove would make an affordable line of dolls for collectors.
Like Pullip Ally or the My select dolls, reasonably price yet cute dolls.
Thanks for sharing which Wake-Up girl you prefer! 🙂
The cracking is definitely an issue on the older bodies, but I have not experienced or heard of it happening with the newer bodies (late 2014/early 2015 sometime Sekiguchi updated their body). I’m sure it can happen, but it’s definitely much less likely. Almost all my older bodies have cracks (mostly it seems because the ankle hinge on those are too thick to comfortably fit between the two sides of the ankle which keep it in place, and it’s not that thick on the newer ones), and none of my 2015 and onwards do, despite being the most played with.
I also know Petworks at least have been sending out new bodies to (at least a lot of) people with cracked ones (if they contact them, that is), but I’m not sure of Sekiguchi. The loose joints are definitely a thing, but I’ve never heard of or experienced it being so bad the dolls cannot stand on their own or hold their poses.
As for which doll I prefer; I’m most fond of the tanned one, but I like them both a lot, so I have ordered both 🙂
Heya Martine!
Thanks so much for the very helpful information 🙂
That’s good to hear that Sekiguchi updated their bodies to reduce the cracking heels.
Congrats on your two girl! 🙂
Thanks again for the info and for sharing with us which doll you like.
P.S.
If you don’t mind me asking where did you order your dolls? I know of some collectors who would really love to bring home either girl and I’m not sure if PetWORKs will sell them on behave of Sekiguchi.
