Allie and her younger twin sisters, Z and Zayna, are embracing the Doll-o-Ween spirit this year.
It all started with Allie coming to me, eyes gleaming with a plan.
“Could I have something special for Doll-o-Ween?” she asked.
So, after a bit of brainstorming, I decided on a witch’s hat—a perfect way to capture the season’s playful spirit.
I kept the design simple and fun and before I knew it, Allie had her own little witch hat.
But, as word spread, it didn’t take long for Z and Zayna to chime in.
They wanted hats just like Allie’s!
Saying no to one doll is hard enough, but with two pleading faces, I was completely outnumbered.
So, I agreed to make them similar hats to Allie’s.
Adding the Final Touch
I realized their Doll-o-Ween look needed just a little more for the occasion.
A matching cloak would be the perfect touch.
But again I wanted to keep things simple & quick to do.
After some researching & experimenting, I landed on a no-sew cape pattern that requires only a few basic steps to complete.
As the oldest, Allie got first pick between red and black.
She tried on the red and loved it!
She ultimately opted for the look in black saying it made her stand out more.
But I have a feeling that her younger sisters, Zayna and Z, convinced Allie to leave the red hat & cape for them!
