1. A seam ripper or thread scissors nearby – you can also re-do a line of stitching if it doesn’t seem right! – recommended by Z
We like to say the seam ripper is your best friend, it hides your “learning mistakes” allowing you the opportunity to try again! 😀

2. From my own experiences sewing this week: magnifying glasses.
The type that you can wear, ideally with some lights attached.
Helps so much when threading your needles – either via machine or hand sewing.
Also is a great thing when actually sewing, especially on the machine.
Helps to make sure you don’t take your lines too wide – recommended by Z
A magnifying glass is a handy tool that will definitely enhance your sewing experience 🔍
3. Before using any marking tool, test it on a scrap of fabric to see if it can be removed easily.
Save yourself the heartache of completing a project only to be disappointed when the markings won’t disappear 😭
4. Use a pin cushion or magnetic pin holder to keep your pins organized.
With this tip you’ll reduce the chances of stepping on a rouge pin, ouch 😉
5. Baste or use temporary adhesive when working with tiny seams.
By basting the seam your reducing the chances of the fabric from shifting and it allow you to sew without pins getting in the way
Over To You
I hope these tips have sparked some new ideas and given you valuable insights to make your doll sewing journey even more enjoyable.
Whether it’s keeping a seam ripper handy for those “oops” moments, or investing in a good pair of magnifying glasses, these small changes can have a big impact on your results.
