Mariko’s story takes place ten years before Mariko Sensei became a teacher.
She moved to Tokyo because of her father’s job. This introduced her to Akihabara, a neighborhood filled with unusual machine parts, anime, manga, and other things she had never seen before.
Mariko was still adjusting to her new high school and found it difficult to speak with her classmates.
She eventually made her first friend, who took her to an event where Mariko discovered her lasting interest in cosplay.
Her story continued in Mariko Summer Festival Ver., where she attended her first Tokyo festival with her new friend Ruri.
At the time, she never imagined that she would return to the same school as a teacher ten years later.
This younger Mariko wears a sailor-style dress with a scarf, belt, socks, shoes, and a school bag.
