Dolly Sewing Crush: F.L.C. Boy Edition Project #3
For the 3rd project we made a stylish Knit Vest found on page 84 in the Treasured Doll Coordinate Recipe book.
38 steps is all it takes to turn ordinary fabric into a stunning Knit Vest.
The Knit Vest pattern fits dolls size:
- 11 cm
- 20 cm
- 27/28 cm
- 48/55 cm
The directions for the Knit Vest are written in Japanese and include images so you can visually see the step by step instructions.


Your Layout For Sewing Success
Here is your blueprint for making the Knit Vest:
The Vest
- Sew front & back shoulder seams
The V Collar
- Fold & iron the rib of the collar, sleeves and hem
- Fold collar in half hamburger style & sew on a diagonal
- Clip into the seam
- Open the collar
- Draw a line
The Vest
- Mark the front of the vest near the neck line
- Match the line on the collar with the mark on the vest, right sides together
- Sew on the line
- Clip center of the vest
- Repeat for the other side
- Make a mark near the armholes & the arm rib
- Place the arm rib on the mark of the armholes
- Sew on the line
- Repeat for the other side
- Trim the seam down
- Sew side seams of vest
- Attach hem rib to the vest
- Fold seam allowance of the back & sew
- Sew the vest close & add a bead closure
Yahoo, the Knit Vest is complete!

Making this vest was super fun.
Attaching the ribbon along the neckline and armholes was a new skill for us so it was confusing at 1st but it started to make sense the more we played around with it.
